This story was exactly what I imagined it would be and more.
I have to admit I haven’t read the first book in the series, so I was a little bit afraid that I might be missing some vital background aspects to the story of Kellan and Andi. Thankfully, that wasn’t the case! The author skilfully hints at the past events, that took place in the first ‘Burnham College’ book, in conversations between the main characters. And speaking of conversations, hilarious banters between Kellan and his friends, or Kellan and Andi made me laugh out loud.
The book is written solely in Kellan’s POV, which makes sense, since he is the character who’s transformation is at the centre of everything that’s happening. Apparently, when he appears in the first book in the series, he is the campus superstar/god/celebrity/every-willing-girl’s-f**k-toy. However, some unfortunate events force him to take a hard look into his life and the person he wants others to see in him. This is how Kellan 2.0 is born, a new improved version of Kellan, who needs to decide what he wants to do, and who he wants to be.
The only thing he doesn’t take into account is his childhood best friend, Andi. Unresolved issues and confusing feelings from the past are making Kellan question his priorities, when Andi arrives to start her first year at Burnham College. And this is just the beginning. Things get confusing, then hot, then dramatic, then sweet. So if you enjoy sexy college new adult romances, ‘Undeclared’ is a perfect choice.
