Oh, how I wish it was true that Englishmen look and speak like Declan…
After living in England for the past 10 years I can honestly say that the only thing local blokes have going for them is the accent. Other than that, they don’t even come close to the bad boy gentleman image, unless you’re into loud ginger chaps who start a day with a pint at a local pub.
Sorry for the rant, moving on!
Although Declan Blay is a fantasy, it is one that definitely put a smile on my face. He is both, strong and sensitive, rough and tender, and all in just the right amount. As a fighter, Declan is powerful and methodical, he fights not only with his gorgeous body but also with his head.
Elizabeth Bennett hates violence and alcohol. She lives by a set of rules, that were supposed to bring some order to her life after the traumatic experience of her past. Declan is everything she should stay away from, but the instant attraction only grows stronger. He is not much help either, since whenever they meet, he’s basically undressing her and fucking her in his head.
Add to that an obnoxious and cocky twin brother, an idiot mother, and the ghost of the past coming back with a vengeance, and you got yourself something more than just a simple romantic story.
