Bookfulness is a box subscription from Wales, and is great value for money. What I love about this one is that you can customise your box. You are prompted to fill in a short survey (literally 4 questions) on your book genre, drink and snack preferences. There are two kinds of boxes to choose from in terms of price and number of goodies:
Bookfulness Taster Box – is ONLY £12 and apart from a brand new paperback (new release) in your favourite genre, you get a few snacks and drinks, but in a small taster packaging.
Bookfulness Box – £24 for this one, which is still reasonable, since you’re getting more items, which apart from snacks and drinks can also include stationery, jewellery, candles, skincare product and a surprise item! All this with a newly released paperback novel of course.
I’ve subscribed to a Taster Box at the end of 2018 and chose YA fantasy and romance as my favourite genre. I’ve received three boxes with lots of goodies, such as popcorn, tea, hot chocolate and many others. At the same time I was also subscribed to Illumicrate and FairyLoot, which offer more custom made bookish goodies, but sometimes they are hit and miss. I like functional things, like tote bags, book pouches or water bottles, but things like banners or posters I see as a bit useless and a waste of money. What I’m getting at is that you can’t go wrong with chocolate! All Bookfulness goodies are nicely packaged and even if you don’t eat all the snacks, they are a perfect gift for your friends.
As far as books are concerned, I’ve received a romance novel from an author I know and love: ‘All the Little Lights’ by Jamie McGuire. Next one was ‘Everless’ by Sara Holland, a YA fantasy I would’ve probably bought anyway so it was spot on! Finally my last box included ‘City of Ghosts’ by Victoria Schwab, which I read since and completely adored. Check out my review below:
I was a VERY happy customer so I will definitely be ordering another few boxes soon.
